Objectives: 1. Optimizing the labour market of the Republic of Moldova, promoting student and professional exchanges and improving the economic conditions for returning migrants
Area of action
D. Further improve transparency of skills and qualifications on the MD labour market.
Indicators/Outcomes: ETF contribution under the EU project "Strengthening the capacity to manage labour and return migration". Added value: technical solutions, methodologies, and capacity building of partners, for better quality VET and labour market conditions (ref also recommendations from the evaluation of the Thematic Programme on Migration and Asylum, conducted by DGDEVCO in 2011). ETF workshops: 7-8 May 2012, "The use of learning outcomes in the Rep of Moldova within a NQF for lifelong learning” and "Social Partners in VET" with participation of Moldovan stakeholders and international experts. 11-12 July "Qualifications' systems" and "Sector Committees role for relevant VET". 26-27 September "Main components of a NQF" and "Organisation of sector committees for the relevance and quality of VET".
Main activities: a. Continuing work on recognition of skills and qualifications; b. Using format of occupational standards to inform the content of education and training; c. Strengthen dialogue between Government and Social Partners on skills "transparency and quality of skills" development; d. Making the relations between skills, migration, and development more visible.
