Objectives
Asylum policy. 1. Strengthening the institutional capacities of the Moldovan institutions dealing with migration aspects

Indicators/Outcomes
Duration of the training: 2 days (5 hours/day)
Number of participants: approximately 20 experts Content of the training:
a) the fight against illegal migration (including the fight against human smuggling and trafficking in human beings, voluntary and forced return, carriers’ liability, sanctions against employers) and consisted of the following main points: the legal background at EU-level and in Hungary (main provisions and implementing authorities), migratory routes and trends in Hungary concerning illegal migration.
b) Migration strategy and integration: the priorities of a Hungarian migration strategy, definition and achievements in the field of integration.
c) During the session on admission and legal migration the trainers provided the participants with an overview on the migratory trends in Hungary, the size of the migrant population, the stakeholders and legal background in Hungary. Presentation on the legal background covered persons enjoying the right to free movement, third-country nationals and asylum-seekers. Types of visas, ways of delivering visas, visa requirements, entry and admission conditions, SIS, VIS, types of residence permits, types of settlement permits were discussed.
d) This part focused on the international and Hungarian legal background on readmission and return, including forced and voluntary return and the rules on detention.
