Consolidation of migration management capacities in the Republic of Moldova

Geographic scope: Republic of Moldova
Objectives: 1. Informing potential migrants about ways of legal migration to the European Union and legal employment in the Member States, as well as about the risks of illegal migration, and assistance for returning migrants.
A. Strengthening the Republic of Moldova capacity to manage labour and return migration
Indicators/Outcomes: The project with a targeted its efforts on the following key issues: providing information about legal migration procedures and opportunities; informing about risks of illegal migration and possibilities of working and living in the EU; maximizing the links between migration and economic and labour market development in the receiving countries and in Moldova; providing information on programs for returnees and pre-departure trainings in order to better match their experience with international and national labour market demand; strengthening the capacities of relevant public authorities to better mainstream migration dimension into labour market and VET policie

Beneficiaries: Moldovan citizens and their families will be the first to benefit from the results of this project, as well as the relevant Moldovan institutions: National Employment Agency, Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Family, National Bureau of Statistics and other state public authorities
